A Must Play
This game has a fantastic narrative that touches on some heavy themes and presents a tragic, emotional story that will sit with you for days after completion.

It was okay.
It's basically a visual novel where you play as a detective to try and solve a murder. The process of investigating is rather annoying and I really don't feel like my actions had any real bearing on the story, which is a shame. Most VN have arching paths but I've read that this only has one ending. So, I feel that my choices and investigations were pretty pointless from a gameplayperspective. You do get graded on each chapter at the end but it's nothing really. The story itself does pull you along and it is interesting. The story ends with many holes but those are filled in with an epilogue type story that has lighter investigating mechanics. The Japanese seem to like super tragic stories. This is no exception, especially after you find out what truly happens to the antagonist.Im glad to of played but the end was dumb in my opinion.

Good Story but Can be very Aggravating
While I enjoyed my time with the game, with its decent mystery that had me asking plenty of questions and made me feel very much involved in the investigation, which a fan of detective fiction would want, I found myself frustrated at a lot of times. Now, those familiar with the Famicom Detective Club franchise would say that this is par for the course, as the original two games had many of the same frustrations, but those frustrations usually came from having to brute force the game. Here, however, things are far more frustrating because there are times where you have blanks that you fill. These boxes that you fill in do bring something new to the table, but there are times when you either must put in things in a particular way, like saying the victimās cause of death was suicide and not āa suicideā or you have to put in the same answer again after having entered or selected it.This really hurt my enjoyment while playing it, especially because I have not had to do this in the other two games.Still, the story was good enough that I would recommend it, even though it is frustrating in ways it should not be.
