Power efficient water heater.
Bought this to use with a utility sink in the feed room in our horse barn. It heats the water decently as long as you keep the water flow rate controlled. It was the largest wattage my current wiring will support, so it will have to do.

Check the item over before you spend money on installation and then find out it's defective.
Opened the package when we were ready to install. Package had the unit in it and nothing else no paper work ,no wire, nothing. The unit didn't even have caps on the inlet or outlets. I had hi hopes for this, hired a electrician and ran the wire the unit wouldn't even power up

Lack of directions to access the wiring lugs required a phone call to Rheem Tech Service
I've had several versions of the Rheem point of use tankless water heaters, but this is the first time that I have had to phone Rheem Tech Service for assistance. The directions for electrical connection leave out critical information - How to remove the cover in order to access the connectors. Turns out there are 3 small screws on the water connection side that must be removed in order to remove the cover. Otherwise, works as intended to provide hot water to my laundry utility sink.

When they say Two Faucets they mean Two low flow bathroom sink faucets...Not kitchen.
Rheem 6.5kW 240V Point of Use Thermostatic Tankless Electric Water Heater---Pay attention to the GPM rating. When they say it is good for two faucets they are talking about two low flow BATHROOM faucets. This will not supply enough hot water for ONE Kitchen faucet. Otherwise the Heater is o.k. Takes about 15 seconds for the temperature to stabilize...Quickly gets real hot for a few seconds then turns cold again for about 3-4 seconds...eventually stabilizing after 10 to 15 seconds. AND NO my faucet does not have pressure or temperature balance/regulation. So much for instant hot water! A stable heated temperature was achieved by old school plumbing in about 5 seconds. The 8K model does the same thing...only it can supply enough hot water for the faucet or pot filler (not both at the same time.)

10 gage 30 amp, great hot water!
Awesome! Had a smaller weaker one, didn't like it. We are using it on one bathroom sink, rated for two sinks, or a low flow shower. Temperature comes up within a second or two, with good modulation to cold. As directed, I ran a dedicated 30 amp, 240v wire (10/3 awg). It only had one ground connector, so I attached both for redundancy, but a 10/2 would have been fine if already present. My install was a very tight fit, I used a thin backer board for the mounting screws.

False claims in both Amazon and on the product packaging
The Rheem packaging states that this device will supply continuous hot water at 0.7gpm for the coldest region in the continental U.S.(and up from there) But the device comes with an aerator which limits the flow to 0.35gpm. and it wouldn't even keep that severely limited flow hot at 105 deg F. in the middle of summer! To one faucet! The Rheem tech support had me perform diags and it passed them all. The unit was performing at its best. They ended up telling me that I needed to purchase a larger unit. This is after I had contracted a licensed plumber re-plumb from a standard water heater. I had to go back to a standard water heater and re-plumb again. After a couple of hours they finally was allowed to speak to a customer service person who, after an hour on the phone, simply said "Sorry" Rheem customer service was pathetic. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing any Rheem products in the future.
