Perfect
I chose this Forstner bit among several the same size, based on the fineness of the machining evident in the close-up images. I looked like it had finer, sharper, cleaning cutting edges than the others. It did not disappoint. Extremely sharp, precise.

Does a nice job
One thing a Forstner bit is known for is that it can cut a circular hole with a clean bottom. This bit did that without having any trouble doing the cutting.I set up test cuts on the drill press, using a fence and clamps to hold the work steady. A drill guide would also work with the use of some clamps. The speed was set to 1,000 RPM.The bit cut pine very easily and I quickly had a hole 3/4" deep with a nice smooth bottom.I switched to a piece of red oak. A later check suggested I should have reduced the speed to 250-500 RPM, but I did not think of this till later. The bit cut the hole with just a little more effort, but it tended to smoke a little bit. A lower speed would almost surely prevent that. The bottom of the hole, however, was smooth and unburned.Works well....

Very sharp. Good clean holes in difficult wood.
I used this bit to cut shallow holes for installing flat, round, magnets in a piece of thin plywood. I was very impressed that the bit did not chip, flake, or mar the plywood in any way. I was sure it would cause the ply to splinter, but it did not. Very impressed.

Storage box cheap and doesn't hold bits in place
Item showed up and the case was partially opened. Case is extremely cheap and doesn't hold the bits in place. I opened the case and the bits were scattered everywhere. Be prepared to open up the case everytime and look for bits that are scattered together. Very disappointing.

Clean carbide, sharp edges, some finish flaws
This forstner bit comes individually wrapped and packaged in its own plastic case. As a result it was safe and secure in transit. The carbide is straight, sharp, and flawless. No visible defects on the edges and no need of a diamond file to hone (unlike many other bits). Points on the side flutes were super sharp. The shaft is also well manufactured showing no flaws. However, the epoxy/enamel finish is flaking off in spots on mine. Not likely to be a functional issue but may affect rust protection.Test cut showed that it cuts clean and true like a proper carbide winged forstner bit should. It's all up to how long the carbide edge lasts. On the plus side, it is easy to resharpen.

Good bit
Nice forstner bit. I tried it out on some fir 2x stock as well as a selection of hardwoods and the bit has performed as expected. I'm not sure how durable it will be but only time and actual use will tell. A 1 1/16" bit is perfect for boring through studs or joists to feed PEX or conduit through giving it just enough extra room to feed 1" OD material through. Forstner bits also excel at making holes without the tear-out you get from other bit styles like spades. It came packaged with other items from Amazon but in its own plastic sleeved box to protect it. Glad to add this size to my collection.

Forster bit
Anytime you do woodworking and need to drill precise holes, one of the best methods that I have found is by the use of Forstner bits. I recently got one of these bits and couldn’t be happier. The bit is made of heavy duty steel, and the cutters on the bit are extremely sharp on both sides. The smaller cutters on the opposite sides are very sharp which will start the hole for you and the center bit that is used as a pilot is also extremely sharp and very hard. I think this bit will work well for any woodworking project where you need to drill a precise hole.

Comes sharp. So far so good
I haven't tried to wear this bit out yet, but so far it works just fine. Some Forstner bits cut a flatter bottom, this one has the spike. It chucks into the drill well, and comes sharp from the factory so it cuts nicely.I'm not sure what all else to say. Consider the price compared to some others, as I'm sure you get in the range of what you pay for. I haven't yet tested the limits of this bit.
