Nice little tabletop heater to warm up the patio area
The media could not be loaded. This Hotdevil propane heater is such a simple and sturdy classic design. The size is perfect and easy to be put on patio table or inside the cup holder of golf carts, I think it is also perfect for camping and backpacking trips. The heat output is strong and stable, enough to warm up a 3-5ft area. This propane heater is classic manual ignited, which I think is more reliable and better than those self ignition ones, you will never worry about ignitor failures. The grille is removable and the grille space is very small to prevent children to put their fingers inside the burning bowl, so did the lighter. I recommend to use a long neck lighter to ignite the heater for safety, or you can firstly light the heater without the grille on, then install the grille back after the heater was on. Above all, I am very satisfied with this small propane heater, highly recommended!

It is reliable, but use caution.
I've previously had problems with all my buddy heaters safety tubing plugging up with propane gunk. This unit has none, and is as reliable as a propane torch. It does a nice job of heating up a small space, but I wouldn't use it in a tent or vehicle, because it can project a lot of heat straight out from the parabolic reflector. After a few uses, I decided to keep a fire extinguisher handy. This heater is what I wanted, but it might not suit your uses.I can't give it 5 stars, because the user needs to have a working brain, to be totally safe. I love it, because I can throttle it down to low heating levels. Yes, the flame can go out at low heat, but it should always be attended, and you can shut it off or relight it. It is way better than Mr Heater and all it's clogged plumbing, if you keep an eye on it.

The best propane heater for ice fishing!
I am super love this portable heater, it is simple and classic, works on Coleman 1lb propane tanks and easy to carry around. The regulator is made by solid brass, and other parts are made by polished stainless steel, very heavy duty and can work flawlessly in any conditions. I found this propane heater is a perfect device for ice fishers such as me, I just hang it on my gear bag and walk around from spot to spot, never worry to break any parts because all structures are simple and made by quality materials, and easy to set up almost need no assemble, it is really a reliable friend in the outdoor fields.

super hot
Works great. Bought for my husband as he is a hunter and it throws some heat now. Not sure how safe it will be, seems very tipsy to me, but as long as you have even ground it should be ok. Will definitely warm you up!

Great buy for your money.
Very well-made item. Works well and really puts out the heats for its size.

Lasts 10 minutes if you are lucky
I was very excited to try this when it arrived and ironically it was 3° outside so it was a perfect evening to give it a go. At first I thought I had a faulty tank, but then I hooked it up to another new tank and it was the same outcome. It only lasts for about 10 minutes. Supposedly with a 16 oz tank we are supposed to get heat for an hour and a half or so. I’m assuming the attachment has a leak. I made sure it was on straight and tightly, but it lasts for only about 10 minutes and what good does that do? Unless you want to keep attaching tanks every 10 minutes and burn through $60 every hour, I highly do not recommend this particular product unfortunately. I am not one to take the time to give a bad review but in this case, this whole experience with this propane heater was disappointing, annoying and a waste of time and not to mention, money.

Difficult to lite
Using this heater in my covered golf cart. Wishing it had 40%-50% more peak btu output. But i do play in 30°+ weather. The wire mesh screen guard does not have a hole/slot big enough to allow a Bic long neck lighter to get near burner to ignite. I have to remove screen and then quickly reinstall before the back shield gets hot. 45°+ it works great. Actually, another issue for me is the gas valve knob is on the wrong side. To me it would be much easier if the valve was on the left side, so I can easily turn the valve with my left hand and use my right hand to lite the Bic lighter. Everyone knows how clumsy it is to hold down that stupid release button and pull trigger at the same time on those lighters.
