Not bad for price but be aware of a few things!
I bought this in a pinch after rescuing a baby axolotl and needing to keep my tank water temps down. I didn’t have $250+ to spend right away, so I took a chance on this and I don’t regret it. Overall, it works well. It came with one long tube, that I had to cut in half (as instructed), and then connected the hoses as shown in instructions to the water pump. Plugged it all in and bam, it works. I originally had it for a 10 gallon aquarium, but it struggled to keep it cool enough. I have my axolotl in a tub currently, which I use this to keep that water consistently cool, and it works perfect. I do sometimes run into trouble with it freezing in the back where the hoses connect, but turning it off for a little while melts it away and it works fine again. It’s fairly quiet, but definitely not silent. It also is only in Celsius and no way to change it, so just be aware of that. It also looks a mess with having to run the hoses and thermometer to the tank, but that’s more of an asthetic thing than anything else. Honestly though, for the price and what I need it to do for me, it works well enough and I can’t complain. Hope this can help someone else looking for a chiller with a tight budget!

I cannot believe I am giving this 5 stars.
I am blown away by how well this water chiller works. I use it to cool my 20 gallon axolotl tank (way more than advertised capacity), and it actually keeps the water at about 65 degrees. Before purchasing, I used frozen water bottles and struggled to keep the water temperature below 76. It has been unseasonably hot - mid to high 80's outside, and this little water chiller hasn't failed me yet! I've been using it for nearly a month and my axolotl is very happy.A few things to note: the pumping mechanism is completely separate from the cooling mechanism. The diagram on the directions shows contradictory images regarding the intake and output hoses. That is because it doesn't actually matter which one you hook the pump up to.The hose is also pretty flimsy and I plan to replace it - you need to make sure it does not kink where it attaches to the outtake or it will freeze and stop working properly.Jan 1 update: still working, no complaints!
