Good rear speakers to compliment to JBL GTO609C front components
I have tried a lot of speakers over the decades and these are up near the top of all the ones I've had. One thing that impressed me was the midbass on these exceeds everything I've had before. I have them crossed over with HPF at 80hz and driving them with a JL Audio 300/40 giving them 75w rms of clean power. They sound great and musical around the 30-40w range. I'd have to turn down the midbass a bit or increase the HPF to 120hz to push them harder as they will loose linearity with all the midbass at high wattage.I did a layer of sound deadening on the outer door skin (inside the door), and a second layer under the door card covering every hole that opens into the insides of the door and window regulator area. Then I added a foam mid-bass reverb pad behind the speaker, and finally the foam seal around the speaker itself to direct all the mid-bass into the cap through the door card. I believe this helped significantly in increasing the mid-bass and overall sound quality.

Great sounding speakers
I put these in my 2002 GMC Sierra extended cab, non-Bose truck. They sound great. Huge improvement from the factory 20+ year old speakers. Running the factory head unit still and the bass is just fine for me since I only listen to classic rock and country mostly. They fit fine, I just used self tappers and I don’t have any rattle. You do have to order the adapter harness for GM and then after that it’s plug and play. Good value for what you get out of these in a factory setup. Hard to beat JBL!

Perfect fit 2014 F150 Lariat, door speakers.
Perfect fit for a 2014 F150 Lariat. I installed these in both front and back door locations. These replaced a blown Sony speaker in the premium sound system.

Not for bass heads
They are okay. They sound better than what was in my 2016 Kenworth T880. Knife and highs are good. The low sounds all distorted. All settlings are at zero. Bass has to be at -2, mids -1 and treble at zero or +2 max to enjoy music. Theses are in 4x6. If your looking for bass theses ain’t it chief.

MASSIVE upgrade over my factory 3.5’s!!! (WITH CAVEAT…READ REVIEW)
So… I upgraded my factory 2018 Chrysler 300 dash speakers to these JBL Club 3.5” speakers. They definitely sounded better than my OEM speakers but they were getting WAY too much bass. They were pretty distorted and muddy sounding. Chrysler’s built in EQ settings and crossovers on the UConnect basically prevent the volume from getting loud to protect their cheap speakers (mine is a non-amplified system). If you have a newer model 300, you know that the overall factory soundstage is pretty good, it just lacks those crisp highs and volume to really jam out. If you do upgrade to the JBL Club 3.5” speakers, I would also HIGHLY suggest that you order the Recoil BB-35 Bass Blockers to install on the positive speaker wire going into the speakers. The signal coming from the factory head unit to the dash speakers is a full range signal (highs, mids, and lows). The JBL’s come with a resistor installed that run to the tweeter to protect it from the lower frequencies, but nothing to filter the signal to the actual 3.5”. Initially I had to turn down the bass on my EQ so low to make the new JBL’s sound clean, and distortion free, that I lost that mid-bass that I enjoyed so much from the 6x9’s in my front doors and rear deck. The Recoil BB-35 bass blockers filtered all of those unwanted signals from playing through my new JBL 3.5” dash speakers so that I could turn up the low frequencies on the EQ giving me the upgraded soundstage and louder volume I was looking for. I couldn’t be happier from such an easy and cheap upgrade to my OEM system! The difference is night and day!
