Super Bright!!!
Used this as a hand held light for exploring a cave. We used much dimmer headlamps which worked well for watching our footing. When I needed to look ahead I turned this lamp on and it lit up the whole very large, very open cave. Was ideal for selecting our route as we explored, and for looking at the higher cave features. Also used it to light up the cave for taking pictures. A word of caution, as would be expected, on the very bright high setting the lamp gets VERY hot very quickly. It’s heavy but worth carrying. Battery lasted for our trip, though I only used it on and off as needed.

Number 1 headlamp
Great quality and very bright. My only complaint is the third strap down the middle, I’d be with the headband style. But that being said this was one Project Farms best of when he tested against other products. It does not disappoint. Worth the money and I would definitely buy again.

Bright is an understatement
This headlamp is the perfect tool for any hunter, hiker, camper, or out door enthusiast. The multiple modes and brightness make it ideal. Fit feels comfortable with plenty of range to fit nearly any sized head. Battery life is good and is quite easy to use. Definitely worth the money.

battery life is short
I like the headlamp, is nice and bright. It does get hot pretty quickly and the battery barely last an hour on a low setting. I wish it came with two batteries

Great head lamp
I like this head lamp. I bought 2 other lamps that look fancy with 4 or 5 lights built into them. They were poorly built compared to this. This is a nice solid head lamp. It just has 2 lights on it but it seems brighter and more durable. Its nice that the light comes out and can be hand held or clipped anywhere. It was the most expensive out of the 3 but compared to the other's the build and quality is much better.

Spot Light Lens Melted BUT, It was likely my error!
The Spotlight Lens Melted after owning light for 3 weeks, Likely because I was Operating on Highest Spotlight Mode and had the Head/Lamp against (by mistake) my Clothing. Even so, During Usage I was Pleased with the: 1). Intensity & Coverage (Lumens, Candella & Throw), of both Spot and Floodlights Modes, 2). Large, Easy to Operate, Silicone On/Off /Mode Button Located on Lamp End/Top side of Flashlight Body, 3). Flashlight EASILY Installs/Removes too or From Head Strap via A Strong Pocket Clip attaching too A Strong Plastic Mounting Platform, 4). Flashlight EASILY Turns 180 degrees without Restrictions while Attached too Head Strap- competitors have a restrictive/difficult to turn Head Lamps due to Silicone "holder", 5). Head Strap is 2nd to none with A Comfortable Band, Thicker than Competitors', Adjustable too Size with A Long Silicone Strip to keep Band Positioned- the Quality of the Head strap is very good, it is A Premium Head Strap 2nd to no others 6). The Flashlight has A Strong Pocket Clip if You detach and want to Pocket it, 7). The Head Lamp Runs Cooler than Expected for 2700 Lumens and A Smaller Housing/Head compared to Hand Held Flashlights, 8). The Flashlight is tested for 1.5 meters drop test. I am Disappointed in that the Spot Light Lens Melted, it is made of Plastic. But, and because I believe I had it Too Close to Fabric, it did Not have the Area to Run Cool and Melted from the Outside Inward- My Jeans did NOT Burn/Melt. So, I will be Returning BUT, I am going to order the Head Lamp Again. The Body of Lamp NEVER Raised to a temperature to Warm/Hot to touch. I.M.O., after Spending Countless Hours Researching & Educating myself, FENIX is The Premium Light Product in way of Flashlights be it Head Lamps or Hand Held. I also Own A FENIX C7 And am Very Pleased with its performance. The Tactical Line is A Solid Performing Line as well. You Get What You Pay For.

It might leave you in the dark
I have a love and hate relationship with fenix.I use mine for caving and they get abused no doubt. But ive had cheaper headlamps for YEARS that have never failed.Yet I've had TWO of these literally melt the lense and replaced under warranty.Ive also had other fenix headlamps fail me with the rotary dial.I like the metal construction of these and they put off great light. But they give me no confidence in their ability to not melt or flat out fail underground. Good thing everyone should have 3 light sources!
