Q: What are the dimensions of this item?

The flatware set is between 6-1/2 to 7-3/4 inches. The hostess set is 8-1/4 to 8-1/2 inches. The soup/gravy handle is smaller but the "bowl" is quite generous. The flatware and hostess sets are very nice and very sturdy. I definitely recommend purchasing. I hope this helps.

Q: Can you just buy replacement dinner forks?

Not sure. I never had to replace one. You may have to ask the manufacturer.
