Best one yet
One of the better hoops. Bought another brand and the links were difficult to get on and off. These are very easy to get on and off and it's not noisy and it spins easily.

Fun workout to get the heat rate up
Love it! I'm on day 42 and I'm more active than I've ever been in the last 40 years. Haven't lost any links yet but we'll see. ..I am able to hula for an hour at a time so far. I've begun adding hand weights into my routine as well, while hooping for an added challenge. Menopause really sucks for weightloss. So, I'm focused on increasing activity levels only.

Hula workout
Good product. Had trouble putting it together...it arrived connected wrong. I fixed it and I'm using it. Too early to tell if it is helping?

Buy the S2 XXL!
UPDATE: I ended up returning the S5.S+, which I had rated 1 star. I decided to try the cheaper S2 XXL model instead, since it looked like it had smaller links and a more stable rail. I'm happy to say that both turned out to be the case. The smaller links mean it was easy to find the proper size for me, and I had no problem with the rail/grinding issues of the S5.S+. It's much smoother and easier to use. It is louder overall, but not enough to be a true negative. I'd give the S2 XXL 5 stars and the S5.S+ 1 star, so I took the average and will give 3 stars, as Amazon doesn't allow me to review them separately.I also want to add that after posting my initial review, the company messaged me apologizing for the trouble and mentioned that I could get a full refund. I still wish there was a way to contact them on their site, but I'm impressed by how quickly they responded here. That and the much better S2 XXL definitely helped alleviate a lot of the initial disappointment of the S5.S+.ORIGINAL REVIEW:First impressions were not good. I'm fairly certain my hoop was used, as some of the parts were covered in dirt and thrown around haphazardly in the box. I ordered from Swiss Activa themselves through Amazon Prime, so this wasn't just a shady third party dealer. If this wasn't used, then they need to work on their professionalism, because dirt on new products is not a good sign.Actually using it was also disappointing. Some of the buttons for removing/adding links will randomly stick, making it far more tedious than it should be. The links also should have been half their size. As it is, I can't find a good fit with this hoop. It's either so loose that it's dragging down my hips at an awkward angle, or it's so tight that it's actually painful. That isn't an exaggeration; after using it for just half a minute or so, my ribs feel like I was hit over and over again because of how tight it was. But then remove a link and poof, too loose to work properly. The hoop at this size will sit at a steep 45 degree angle, rather than more or less straight like it should. Because of this, the counter doesn't sit straight against the rails, which means constant friction during use. Constant friction means the hoop/pendulum does not want to stay in motion, which defeats the whole purpose.Considering each link is over two inches long, this isn't surprising; two inches on the waist is quite a bit for something that needs to sit just right. The size of the links was very poorly thought out, and I find it hard to believe people haven't had a problem with this. My waist is a bit over 35 inches by the way, so I'm in the range for the product. All that being said, I wanted to give the brand the benefit of the doubt and ask them if these issues could be fixed, or if maybe I have a strangely defective hoop. For all I know, maybe the steep angle would normally be fine, but the counter I have is defective and just doesn't sit on the rails properly. You never know. I looked for a way to message them on Amazon, but there's nothing. I went to the site instead and found their contact us form, but there is no submit button (Chrome browser), which makes the form useless. I then found their email in their FAQs ([email protected]) and just emailed them directly...but as soon as I sent off the email, I get a response from Google saying the address wasn't found. It's just bad impression after bad impression. One star.

Dangerous
While I was using it, one of the links literally snapped!! The weight/counter flew off slamming into my refrigerator and missed hitting my 4 year old grandson by inches!!! I tossed it right into the garbage! I'm not taking the chance on using it again!!

I don't feel like dying at the end of 30 minutes
So I bought this after finding a hooping group on Facebook. The majority encouraged this hoop and the group included discount codes which was additional to the discount I got. I've had it for 2 months are here are things I like about it and things I learned about it.Likes:1. After 30 minutes, I can feel that my muscles got a workout. I'm a perfuse sweater, but with this exercise I just get a little damp/clammy but don't feel disgusting. It also doesn't trigger my mild asthma which is induced by the combo of cold and exercise.2. It took me a bit to get the swing of things, but once I figured out my stance and rhythm, I haven't stopped. I do not know how to hula hoop, so that was my number one concern when I purchased this.3. It is quieter then the cheaper exercise hoops, but still noisy enough. I like to exercise while I catch up on a show, so I just have to watch it a little louder and I put on subtitles.4. I love the weight on this because it's actually heavy (watch out kids and pets) and you can adjust the length easily which is necessary as you advance into your fitness.5. I was 228lbs and 5'6" when I purchased this and I didn't need all the links. If you need additional links, the facebook group is very supportive and will sell you their extra links they shed away.Lessons learned:1. Wear shoes - I didn't wear shoes at first and it messed me up for a week to where it hurt to walk.2. Wear tight fitting tops or an exercise belt. Loose fitting shirts will bunch up and then get caught in the hoop, making it harder to maintain the continuity of the exercise.3. Keep your arms up. I feel like this is a full body workout but wanted to comment on the arms. Once you get comfortable enough with it, you can add weights. You feel goofy keeping your arms up so giving them another purpose may help.Best wishes on your health journey.

this one actually works
I tried three other (cheaper) infinity hoops before I brought myself to spend a little more money. And boy, was it worth it! The cheaper inifinity hoops got jammed and stuck and the weights flew off while hooping! The Swiss Activa has shown none of these issues - it's sturdy, runs smoothly and the weight isn't flying off either (which is definitely a plus...).The only "downside" (no showing-off here, I swear!): When I started using the hoop I had it set to 13 links. After 2 weeks or so it got too big, so I took one more link out. But that seems the smallest the Swiss Activa can be adjusted to, and that's a little too big for me (now, after I've been using it for almost 3 months). Now the hoop "falls" below my waistline onto my hip bones which is a little uncomfortable.@SwissActiva, is it possible for me to get rid of one more link?
