Great for a starter radio
If you are new to air band scanners, or just want one to listen within your locality, this one maybe a good place to start. If you want frequencies for further afield, be prepared to invest money into a better antennae or a more advanced device.I’d already read the reviews so knew I wouldn’t be able to pick up frequencies from further afield with the supplied antenna, but living within 30 miles of an international airport I knew I’d pick up frequencies there. It can take a little bit of getting used to when searching for a specific frequency, as it will sometimes just skip straight past it. A way to stop this is to have a meddle with the squelch, I have mine set at 7. You can also press ‘hold’ and this will stop the scanner from auto-scanning, so when you have found your frequency it will stop on it rather than going past it.Another reason why I state this is probably good for starters is the memory bank; there is only space for you to save 3 frequencies. For myself personally, this is absolutely fine at present as I have saved the two frequencies from my local airport, and don’t plan on going far with the scanner. For those who like to take their scanner around they may find the constant searching of frequencies annoying without the ability to preset or store them. The scanner is a very dinky size, fits nicely in my hand and is quite light. I’ve kept the screen protector on for now. The headphones supplied are basic, yet work perfectly fine.Buttons on first glance appear quite confusing if you are new to scanners, the manual doesn’t read amazingly well either (it seems more directed to people with prior knowledge of scanners). There are videos on YT which can assist (creator content, not by supplier or manufacturer), or you can go through it yourself with trial and error. The antenna supplied picks up my locality airport, which is what I bought it for so for this I am happy. I highly doubt it will pick up anything beyond this (I haven’t tried though) so investing in a good antenna if you like this scanner may be worthwhile.Battery life is great; I’ve had the scanner on for 10 hours and it hasn’t ran out. I don’t believe it displays when it is fully charged though, someone may be able to say differently but mine constantly displays that it’s charging even when left overnight.Packaging and delivery of the scanner was spot on, it was well packed and arrived without a single dent in the box. Myself and my daughter enjoyed the sweets!I would recommend this scanner for someone who possibly enjoys the hobby, but doesn’t need an all singing all dancing scanner. This will happily pick up your locality, but if you want to be able to pick up much further afield or like to save lots of different frequencies, do a bit more research as this one may not be the one for you.

Good radio overall, but...
I think overall it's a good radio and is easy to use once you fully understand all the buttons functionalities and modes of operation. However, price wise I would say it's very poor value for money as sold on Amazon. Usually, the prices on Amazon are completive, but on this occasion it's a big rip-off as I found out later that the average price for this model amongst various retailers is around £80, whilst it is currently sold at £129.99 on Amazon!!!Furthermore, Amazon mistakenly lists 2 different prices for the same model, one labelled Uniden EZ133XLT at £129.99, and the other one labelled Uniden EZI-33XLT+ at £104.95. The model EZ 133 XLT simply does not exist, they have mistaken the 'I' for '1' as the manufacturer does not put any spaces or dashes between the letters and the numbers. I ordered the one with the higher price and the confirmation email from Amazon wat titled EZ133XLT but when I received it, inside the box was the model EZI33XLT. I did some research on the internet which confirmed that the model with the number 133 does not exist. In the future I will always shop around and will no longer assume that Amazon prices are the most competitive.
