Ohhh I love this GPS system
I've tried many different trucking GPS systems that let me down for different reasons, but this Germin has not let me down at all since I bought it almost a month ago. Use it every day.

Very effective & must have tool for trucks
This gps device has served very well so far for flat bed trucking. I drive all over VA and NC and this thing has gotten me through many unknown areas that have weight limits and clearances. Input your truck info and it will meticulously route your run according to your truck size. It’s not perfect by any means and I had many moments where I routed around areas that had infrastructure upgrades where the weight limits were lifted. Wish I could manually update certain roads that I commute often. I update every time I am prompted but realistically, there is constant infrastructure change and I don’t expect to be updating every little road that changes. I use my best judgement and follow signs, as I should, and rely on this gps to do most of the interstate navigating. Also, really appreciate the lane departure window that pops to help you get setup in the correct lane for an exit. It’s not always there when I need it, but overall it’s been helpful; Some areas have literal “clover-leaf” stacks and mergers like I never seen! Looks like spaghetti on the screen. But seriously, the Garmin dezl series beats any app I have tried hands down.

Perfect for my trucking business
You must update the device with a wifi connection for accurate routing. Simple to use. Device alerts me of: up coming weigh stations, up coming speed limit changes, sharp bends in the road, traffic delays and alternative route options, and more. Honestly it's a great investment for my business I'm really glad I made this purchase. One thing I get a bit frustrated with is typing in the address of a location, it sometimes can't find the location. The solution to this though is to keep the address simple by excluding building numbers: such as 1234 main st plant 1. If you add the "plant 1" it will not locate the address, if you exclude "plant 1" it'll locate without issue. If you drive a truck, this is a must have. Thanks for reading. Drive safe.

The units don’t work very good
I am a truck driver that finally broke down and bought the garmin 580 trucker gps . It worked good for about two days and the the direction we’re way off and the unit wouldn’t turn on even being plugged into the cigarette lighter. It eventually came back on after charging for 28 hours . But the directions are so so . I use my Waze app to verify the directions all the time . So be careful when using the garmin 580 it could bring to to the wrong side of town. The seller is a scam . Then send subpar equipment that works sometimes and not other times .Then they say they will replace it but never send a replacement. Then there excuse is it’s past thirty day . So beware of GPS Cities sellers. Don’t buy or you’ll be out money too. Check the better business website and you will see this is standard process for GPS cities

It’s a truck GPS, but it’s outdated.
I drive a straight truck everyday, I’ve tried to use mobile apps, like Google Maps & Apple Maps, but they simply can’t keep you on a route safe and legal for trucks. You set your truck size and definitely link your phone with the Smart Link app. I made the mistake of not using the Smart Link and it takes forever to punch in addresses when on a timed route. If you look up your address on Apple Maps, drop a pin, copy the coordinates into the Smart Link app it makes this GPS so much easier to use. You won’t have traffic alerts unless you use the app. It still makes mistakes but you have to outsmart the GPS. Compared to Google & Apple I have seen the Garmin receive more accurate up to date road closure reports than anything I’ve used. It can be slow to receive satellite information at times. The touch screen can also be unresponsive for a few seconds randomly. The zoom in and out really is bad and slow whenever. Overall… it’s the only good cheap truck GPS I’ve used so far, but far from great.
