Really handy to have around house
This voltage tester is a reliable and easy-to-use tool for detecting live wires and checking electrical outlets. Its clear LED indicators and audible alerts make it simple to identify voltage presence, while the non-contact design ensures safety during use. The compact size allows for convenient storage and portability. It’s great for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals. However, the sensitivity might need adjustment in certain settings, but, has a built-in flashlight and laser pointer. Overall, it’s a handy, affordable tool for basic electrical testing.

Very useful!
Bought this to test an unidentified wire in my loft. Not sure what the wire does, but this device at least told me the wire was live! Have also used it since then on a faulty light, the light turned out to be live but the bayonet socket was broken internally.Easy to use and seemingly good quality, this is one of those tools you need once in a blue moon (if you're not a professional electrician) but could save your life! The status light and audio alerts are clear and easy to understand.I'm sure professional electricians would consider this £13 plastic version a cheap knock-off, but it works and that's all I needed it to do.This is advertised as 'pen sized', but it's somewhat larger than that at 18 x 3.2 x 3.6cm.

Good piece of kit
very useful as an initial check on live cables - speeds the job up. Be aware though - like all detectors of its type - it will NOT detect current in armoured cables.

Works great.
Excellent addition to my tool kit. Very handy size and easy to use. Very accurate with a bright light and audible alarm that changes with the different voltages. Takes AAA batteries

A handy and reliable voltage tester pen with some useful features
I bought this Venlab voltage tester pen to check the wiring in my house and was impressed by its performance. It also has a bright LED flashlight that helps you see in dark places. The pen has a clear and loud alarm system that warns you of the presence and level of voltage. It also has a wire breakpoint finder function that can help you locate the fault in the circuit.Pros:-Non-contact and safe testing-Dual range and sensitivity adjustment-LED flashlight and wire breakpoint finder-Audible and visual alarm system-Good value for moneyCons:-Battery not included-No display screen or numeric readingsReasons to buy:-If you need a simple and effective tool to test voltage in your home or workplace-If you want a voltage tester pen with some extra features like a flashlight and breakpoint finder-If you are looking for a good deal with discounts and vouchersReasons to avoid:-If you prefer a voltage tester pen with a display screen or numeric readings-If you don’t want to buy batteries separately

Much safer than a neon screwdriver
Very useful and effective - much safer than using neon screwdrivers. Although these devices generally can't detect buried cables, this one does give me an indicatrion if the cable is just below the surface.

Okay but better elsewhere
Works majority of the time. Had problems with it detecting some cables. Good that it came with a battery and seens to last a while. Very sturdy build quality but would not trust it
