Can anyone tell me how long the cable is, and how well it's attached?

The cable is total ~11in in length. It's attached to the silicone base and feeds throught the top of the metal stainer. When the strainer is connected to the silicone base the cable protrudes approximately 8 inches.

Does this fit into a teapot or is it supposed to be placed in a teacup?

Hello Ayah, the size I have (the large one) fits a teacup and a Tea POT, I use it on a Starbucks large tea vase.

Hi, I think that it won't be enough for so much water, I used it with 750ml as much, but it is also true that depending on the kind of tea you could use more water.

How many Tablespoons of tea can this hold?

Good morning, I do not use a tablespoon, I use a pinch or two. It would hold one tablespoon. It is a great product.
