Pine Wood Squirrel House Feeder Outdoor Nesting Box for Habitat Residence

At the tail end of his time in the house, I would put this thing inside of a pet carrier. Little guy became accustomed to jumping inside it when startled - so not long after that he found himself on a tree and within 3-4 days was doing overnights. Soon after that he wanted nothing to do with us lol.Squirrel is still around nearly a year later. He doesn’t live in this house anymore but as you see from the picture, it still gets some traffic.

Nice but you most likely will have to use longer screws than the ones provided. They are small and if the tree has any shape to it they will not reach.

Daisy lives inside my house until spring. Teaching her to forage and store food was our first step, but I worry about her being in a safe home... I can't teach her to build a squirrel nest. I placed this house on top of a dresser next to the towel she has slept in since she came to me. Two days later she tried to drag the towel into the box! It was too large, so I cut it in to a smaller piece and she now sleeps there every night from sun down to sun rise. The next step will be introducing a better bedding for when I move the house outside as weather begins to warm.

Sturdy construction and nicely made. A great asset to our wildlife area on our property.
