This is a perfect gift book filled with elegance, health, and genuine wisdom
I have read and studied many books on Ayurveda and I simply can’t recommend this book enough! It is an authentic sharing, not only of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Vedanta, but of the author’s own personal experiences and wisdom with the knowledge. The chapters and structure are well thought out and easy to follow. And it is beautiful! It’s such a delight to gaze upon the beautiful colors and photos – you feel like you learning the wisdom alongside the author surrounded by nature. Ananta grounds the information so anyone can understand the principles and this is why I will be giving many of these to friends at Christmastime. It’s a perfect combination of nature, nurture, and spirituality. Her heartfelt writing of her Guru and ancestors also gave me faith that there is a genuine wish to help humanity and a Dharmic path that she is following. Ayurveda can be complicated, but it can also be simple too. And I found in my own life, that when I consistently followed the simple basics, my health improved. Nothing is more important than your basic health, and Ananta has made that goal achievable with this book. Thank you Ananta!

Easy reading of Ayurvedic concepts
Easy reading of Ayurvedic concepts. The book contains time tested and tried yoga practices and recipes that can easily be incorporated at one's own comfortable pace. My mom picked it up and read 40 pages right away and the next day woke up early and walked a mile with me motivated by what she had read. The bond that was generated made both, my mom and me better. Good healing guide book.

Useless information. Pass on this one.
This a dumb book with pretty pictures. The recipes are generalized. I learned nothing about how to personalize food or nourishing practices for my dosha challenges. It should just be called General Wellbeing instead. It's suggestions and recipes are great for the not general population who sit around and have time to cook every day or spend hours in the morning and at night doing self care. It talks about living by the seasons but I live in a hot dry climate and what about other places that have continuous same-weather climates. It's irritating because it does not even address the individual. It's more like "just do this" for everyone. It's one of those books that makes you roll your eyes and think Aryuveda is a time consuming dumb self indulgent practice that blankets it's prescriptions across everyone. It's very beautiful but it reminds me of a beautiful person with no substance. I regretful this purchase because it makes me feel like Aryuveda is overwhelming for normal American lifestyles. It has some good recipes that you will easily find in Google. The one good thing about this book is that it will look pretty on the toilet tank for some light and easily forgettable reading.

Love this book
Love this book! It is short, sweet, and simple to follow and understand. 108 Practices is the perfect amount if you are interested in being introduced to Ayurveda and the writer shares her own personal life experiences to intertwine the practices into improving her own life. That personal touch is nice without over doing it. I have bought this book for myself and for others as gifts and all of us have enjoyed it and changed some of our daily habits to being healthier thanks to it.

I would highly recommend this book
I would highly recommend this book. As an Indian girl who has been raised on Ayurvedic teachings from my grandparents, I can relate to so much of what Ananta shares, whilst learning so much at the same time. It's written in a very friendly and accessible way - one that you can actually enjoy reading at any time of the day and not feel like you're being overloaded with information. I haven't been able to put it down since it arrived and I know I'll be dipping in and out of it a lot. It's fascinating learning about an age-old system, which modern day research confirms. Big thumbs up.

Simple presentation, deep and profound changes
A wonderfully accessible book into the complex world of Ayurveda. Simply and concisely written with beautiful images. Yet this simplicity belies the authors clear and deep knowledge of the subject and offer the reader profound wisdom and advice to make small changes with greatly felt effects. I find myself referring to her book again and again. Highly recommend

A life changing book! With beautiful images and very clear information, this book is a wonderful introduction to Ayurveda for those (like me) who wanted to find out more about the 'science of life'. It was a delight to go through all the pages and to come back to them when needed. Thank you so much Ananta Ajmera from all my heart.
