It has a turning type engagement that is draws down without popping off as happens with buckles.

Awesome bang for my buck!
Bought these to replace the failing latches on a Gator case. These were larger and feel like higher quality than the OEM ones that came on the case. Easy to install and I doubt I’ll be replacing these any time soon!

Good value; strike plates not sufficient
These worked really well as closures for a mixer case, after substituting larger strike plates that support right angle mounting.The provided strike plates are very light weight and will not suffice in many circumstances. Still this combo was good value and produced a solid solution.
