How can you calibrate this thermometer? Does it calibrate both cold (ice water) and hot (boiling water)?

We do not recommend or have a procedure for field calibration, and this unit is not adjustable. For calibration, you can contact calibration service Innocal Calibrations or Cole-Parmer and calibrate using part number 17003-00.

Can this thermometer be used with liquids or will the display fog?

You can use the thermometer for liquids. However, only the metal probe is submersible. If the entire thermometer is immersed, the display will get damaged. The display is not water proof.
