Sorry for the huge delay. I just noticed this email. I would recommend this game for 8yrs and up. The rules are a little hard for younger kids to understand and coming up with words to spell is a little hard for the younger kids. But it's a great way to practice spelling and thinking on your toes.

The Spanish Bananagram has hollow letters or are they cheap plastic that when turned are solid also on the back?

Each tile is 3/4 inch square x 1/4 inch thick. Each tile is solid plastic of high quality, similar to Scrbble pieces. They are not hollow on the back nor do they appear or feel cheap in any way.
