Love, love, love these bags!!
I had these bags in my pantry for a long while and never used them. I used them for the first time on Thanksgiving Day 2013 (yesterday). I checked reviews on other websites since I felt very uncomfortable cooking the Turkey in "a bag." Most of the reviews raved about how moist and tender the bird was using this product. However, there were reviews online that mentioned the turkey was only "steam cooked" using these oven bags and not really "cooked correctly." Long story short :) These bags are simply great! I was told by my husband prior to making Thanksgiving Dinner "don't experiment" today of all days. I took a chance and it paid off:The instructions are simple and the preparation is no fuss: just put a little flour and vegetables in the bag with the turkey, tie off the bag and cut slits in the bag. Voila! The turkey is done in less time than roasting in a pan and not dried out. The turkey came out moist with meat falling off the bone! As for the reviews about the turkey not browning, that was not the case with mine. My turkey was golden brown. I didn't have to cut the bag and cook for an additional time like some reviews suggested. I think opening the bag and browning would have taken a lot of the moisture away. I just had to write this review the first thing this morning after the holiday. . I plan to use these bags all the time now to roast whole chickens that I prepare multiple time during the year. As I told my daughter yesterday, this is my new way of making the Thanksgiving turkey!

Turns a Cook into a Chef!
I do most of the cooking in our household. I don't particularly like it, but it doesn't really bother me either. I'd say my fiancée is a better cook, but, alas, she doesn't particularly like to cook. So, I prepare about 90% of our day-to-day meals. I'm just a so-so cook, but I can somehow get an acceptable meal together. When it comes to preparing for holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas, I seem to get the task of preparing the big item, such as the turkey. I don't mind. It's fun, in a way.I've prepared a variety of turkeys over the years, with mixed results. Then someone told me about Reynolds Oven Bags. Cooking a turkey in a plastic bag seemed like a weird thing to do, but I tried it just for the sake of trying something new. My first turkey using this new method turned out perfect. It just couldn't have been any better. It was tender, juicy and tasty. Perfection! I was showered with compliments. Naturally, my next effort also involved using the bag and I've now done about a half dozen 20-pound birds in that manner. All have come out golden brown and at or near perfection. People now praise my turkeys and I'm known in our little circle as the guy who can cook the best turkey. I modestly explain that I simply use the cooking bag and follow the enclosed directions. Really, the only creative thing I do is preparing the stuffing. But people just don't seem to listen and still prepare their birds the same old-fashioned way while praising me for my outstanding results. This oven bag is ideal in a variety of ways. Not only are the results excellent, but essentially all the liquids are retained in the bag and the oven doesn't get dirty nearly as fast as with conventional baking. As such, the clean up is much simpler and easier. The bag is great for turkey and, I suppose it would work equally well for hams or other large roasts. I love it. This bag can turn a cook into a chef!Note: This item is for a pack of 24. I usually buy a single pack, otherwise it's the same item.Gary Peterson
