Babycakes Brownie Maker

Best. Brownies. EVER!! I received one of these Babycakes brownie makers for Christmas and thought it was a gimmick that we would use once and put out in the garage. Turns out we use this thing weekly! I buy the $1 generic brand bag of dry brownie mix at the grocery store, add one egg and 1/4 cup of oil and a cup of water, pour it in the pan and pop it in the brownie maker. 19 minutes later, six perfect, chewy brownies. NO crunchy edges, no hard corners and every single brownie is like the ones from the center of the pan if you made them in the big oven. I have taken to buying this thing to give as housewarming and bridal shower presents - make no mistake, it's always received with delight and the thank you notes later are glowing and a couple have had chocolate smudges.************ UPDATE AUGUST 30, 2016 ***************I have this machine for two years now and I still use it several times a month. It just works with no problems and it is still making the best brownies ever. I don't even think about making brownies in the big oven anymore and I look at those pitiful, thin little brownies elsewhere and know those folks need a brownie maker at home.

I read all the reviews for this and got really excited for when mine would get here. The reasoning is I hate the edges and hard bottoms of brownies. I always end up cutting the center out of the cooked product and throwing the rest away. So when the reviews all said that these were like the center of the brownie, no more edges I went and bought multiple boxes of different kinds and brands of brownies so I would know which I likd the best. Turns out the entire brownie is as hard as the edge. Per the instructions they are to be cooked around 12 min. I tried that and even went as far as 6 min. Not one perfect or edible to me brownie out of the lot. All the bottoms were hard even the ones under cooked at 6 min and raw on the center. Plus they didn't say anything about the sticking problem. Luckily I read the instructions and oiled them in between each batch but still had trouble getting them out. This is going in the landfill.

Had a real hard time finding in strores. Was so tickled when i found it online, it works great!

Got this for my daughter for Christmas. Haven't seen it in use obviously but it looks so cute! I love the color and it's the perfect size for her small apartment where her counter space is limited. I can't wait to see her face!

Showed up broken.

I had one of these and LOVED it, used about 10 times and then all of the sudden i smelled burning plastic and it was overheating so greatly that it was literally melting the plastic casing! Fire danger! I wrote the company and they never wrote me back.
