The media could not be loaded. We have so many squirrels and chipmunks in the backyard. Every morning they dig around the flowers and mess up the patio. Came across this spike carpets and gave a try. Results are dramatic! A clean patio! Check out the video I uploaded. Clearly showing no digging! Otherwise it would end up like the onions in the picture.The size of each piece was nice to fit the pots. Very flexible material and easy to cut to shape. Spikes are long enough to cover with soil. Knowing that the spikes are plastic and will not harm the visitors feels great.Overall a nice solution to have a clean and healthy area if you have soil digging visitors

Because we have a neighbor who leaves out peanuts in the shell for the squirrels, we have had an issue with these 'rats with tails' digging up our garden or our flower pots to bury these peanuts.Have tried numerous remedies with little or no success until now.These 'Cat Scat Spikes' so far, are working at keeping the squirrels out of both our garden and the flower pots on our deck.They are easily cut to fit where needed and do not harm the plants in any way. Do recommend purchasing additional garden spikes however.

I bought them to place under a bed to keep out our particularly skittish cat that loves to hide underneath all day until we're all asleep, then starts her nightly litter- & crap-laden rampage throughout the house that she blames on the other cat come morning. The spikes do NOT work for this cat. The cat was very dedicated and, when presented with spikes versus social interaction and accountability, said "Worth it."However the OTHER cat wanted nothing to do with the spikes. When delivered I sat on the couch stringing several spike squares together, laying the spike track along the back of the couch like a knitting project. Cat 2 likes to hang out there. Cat 2 quickly got the message and stayed off the back of the couch. So... my problem wasn't resolved by the product but I blame the cat and not the product.

It’s an okay product. It works best if you situate it so that your cat has to place their whole weight on one or two paws to get to the plant, otherwise they can just distribute their weight and sit or lay on it. If you’re using this to deter them from a surface, bird cage, or potted plant, I would recommend a static shock mat instead.

This product didn’t work. I bought it to help prevent my cat from getting on the counters. Some of the reviews said it worked with their cats, so I thought I’d give it a try. I attached all the cat-spikes together and laid them across my counter (which it was just enough to cover my counter). There was a bit of a struggle to get each sheet to latch to the next, but eventually I got it all together.Within the next day, I heard my cat on the counter so I walked in the kitchen to just see him standing on the spikes like they weren’t even there, just going on about his business. Total waste of my money.My recommendation is to buy a different product with more sheets to spread across your counter or the desired area, and possibly made out of different material it it exists.

It stopped the squirrels from digging in my big flower pots. Just be aware that any small space not covered with the mat will be dug up. I fixed that by using kitchen scissors to cut the mats into smaller pieces to cover smaller areas where the regular mats were too big. Then I secured all the pieces with long metal,U-shaped prongs that I bought separately at a garden store. Although the mats came with these prongs, I needed more.

I laid them out in my garden and observed my cat from the window checking it out. She realized that she was not getting in the garden while those were there and left. My dog also stays out of it too. It's all about putting them out in a fashion where it does not move and they can't easily step over it. I did two tiles deep all around my garden. Going to buy more for other uses.

The cat and other animals pooped right on them. Then the poop sticks on the spikes. Hosing them down not easy.
