does the kit come with the accessories around the building like the benches, barrels, newspaper stand etc?

The kit does not include the figures, vehicles and landscape the box says. I purchased this as a Christmas gift so it's not put together yet.

Do you have buildings that would go with 1:24 ?scale cars & trucks?

You might want to try looking for "g-scale" buildings. They are larger and closer to 1/24 scale.

the decals that come with the kit. are they standard decals that you soak in water and if so, how long for the soak and how warm/cold the water???

No you don't soak them in water, they are actually Dry transfer decals, I would rather use those kinds than the soaking.

Do you make buildings to 1:18 scale ?

woodland scenes kits

All of the woodland scenes kits are detailed and easy to assy. They all have that extra little bit to make the finished product look good. Price is ok too.

Very nice, but somewhat difficult to assemble. Be prepared!

I ordered this kit a few months ago, and just found the opportunity to put it together. As others said it is as good or better than most that I have assembled. It does have many small details that require tedious painting. I agree that N scale can be challenging to deal with, but it allows this kind of detail in a smaller space. I would have given this five stars, but the decals are dry transfer. They are not good quality, and are quite difficult to apply.
