Very nice wrenches, very nice price
The more I use GearWrench products, the more I like them.First off, I'll say that as of May 14, 2015, the photo shown is incorrect. It shows a 12-piece SAE set that you get for free with purchase of the Metric set (which is wrong), but the text description IS correct: you get a free 9-piece SAE set. I'll admit, I wasn't sure if this "free" deal was correct or not, so I checked the seller's web page, and they had the same deal listed on their site so I purchased it. Sure enough, what arrived on my doorstep were two tool sets (metric and SAE) for just a little bit more than the price of just the metric set. Price-wise, you won't find a better deal anywhere. As far as the wrenches are concerned, they're great. I love the ratcheting ends! I don't know how I survived working on cars for so long without having ratcheting wrenches in my collection. I was recently watching some online videos of mechanics using extra-long wrenches and told myself I had to get some--after all, you can never have enough tools. I found this XL GearWrench set and didn’t have to think long before buying it.The extra length really makes breaking fasteners loose a lot easier. Use the box end to break it loose, flip it, and then use the ratcheting end to finishing removing it. The tools are well made, feel good in your hand, and have a nice polish finish. For those guys that like to keep the tools in the cases, the cases are sturdy, open-faced-blow-molded plastic that hold the wrenches well.I try to caveat my tool reviews by saying I’m not a professional mechanic—I don’t put food on my table by working on other people’s cars. How would these hold up to abuse day after day in a shop environment? I don’t know. But I do know that if these hold together as well as other GearWrench tools I have--when used a few times a month doing car work for myself and friends—then they’ll probably last just as long as me. And they cost a heckuva lot less than tool truck brands. These are awesome wrenches at an awesomer-er price. Stop reading this review and go buy them. You know you want to. Just do it.

Can't Beat Them For The Price!
Great set of wrenches! Their length gives them plenty of leverage and their handles are thick and do not twist of flex. The ratcheting mechanism is not the finest I own, but it is more than adequate for most jobs. If you work on cars a set of wrenches of this design are a must have. They allow you to easily reach and turn fasteners in tight places and break free fasteners that would be difficult to turn with a shorter wrench.

Love ‘em!
I use the crap out of these, love them. I’m just a home mechanic. I’ve replaced a Honda Civic 1.8l engine, a JK head gasket replacement, odd and end stuff here and there. Especially like the extra length for oil plug removal, because it gives me extra leverage.

Thank you Gearwench!
Wow! These wrenches are awesome. The case they're in is geat too. I almost can't wait to try these out. They're perfectly straight to my eyes, the chrome seems to be flawless ad the ratcheting box ends are smooth on every single wrench.Oh yeah, did I mention the other set of wrenches that came with it for free!!That is so cool! If you're reading this review I'm sure you know how expensive a decent set of wrenches will cost. Now throw in the fact that they're a great set of wrenches and you get the sister set totally free!! WOW!!!

perfect
have wanted these for a very long time. tool truck sells this set for around 500$ which is absurd even going through sears or off brand tool guys theyre usually about 125 for the sae and 200+ for the metric set got these with tax for under 200$ and they work grea. long so you can get great torque out of them and get into tight spaces and the non ratcheting side has got an unbelievably small profile. you cant really tell from the picture but the non ratchet end has got a very thin profile on it which is great for getting into tight spaces. overall great buy very happy.

These wrenches are HUGE and awesome! Super long length makes high torque situations a breeze! I have the Metric set plus expansion. The BOGO is pretty cool considering the value. I don't ofte use SAE but I'm sure one day I'll be glad I have them.

Fantastic
These are great wrenches. I use them 7 days a week in a professional shop and they work great. So far they have been indestructible, and I'm very hard on tools. Lots of leverage and thin enough to fit in tight spots
