Range area is good but the rings are not loud enough . I’m returning.

Delighted with it, using the magnetic contact option on a driveway gate to transmit alert signal 200 feet to indoor receiver when the gate is opened. Easy to set up and synch the transmitter and the receiver, and select audio choice and volume, as long as you carefully follow the step-by-step, excellent instructions. Even though the product description and instructions specify no greater than a 1/2 inch gap tolerance for the magnetic contacts, the magnet furnished with it will handle a tolerance of 1 inch, and you can get another 1/2 -3/4 inch with a slighter larger and more powerful bar magnet from ACE. The extra gap tolerance is essential for an outside driveway gate like mine, where, unlike using it on house door or window, you need more gap tolerance due to seasonal movement, sag of the gate, etc.

I got this for my parents to use as an alert for the mailbox. They live on a farm and the mailbox is a quarter mile from the house. This was simple to set up and now when the mail lady opens the box to deliver the mail my parents get a ding-dong in the house to let them know the mail has arrived. It makes their life a little simpler because now they know exactly when the mail arrives. No more walking to the end of the lane to check for the mail only to find it has not arrived yet.
