Some people complain the mat slips. Could it be permantly glue down?

Yes mine slipped as well so I discarded it and bought a roll of plastic non slip material and cut that to fit: no glue required. ( I actually use my slope for a laptop so I had to have something that would anchor it to the slope. I can also renew the material every so often as the rolls are quite cheap and you get a good length. It's the stuff you can put on car dashboards to lay y our phone on.)) I imagine you could superglue the mat if you don't mind it being permanent. I have glued the back support permanently into the slope as if you move it about often, having to remove and replace it can become a nuisance. Well I found it so!

Could you please tell me the thickness of the board and of any success with board clips?

11mm thick, you could use bulldog clips on either side but they would have to be the larger ones to take the thickness of the board
