Q: Are these safe to use on badges and emblems? Would they scratch the paint on my car?

Out of the 11 pieces from this set, there are six soft-bristled brushes, and two cloth brushes. The other three are much like what you used to clean your golf clubs. So,8 of those brushes could be used so that they do not scratch paint. As for the other three, I hardly use those at all. The only times that I use the three are four rims and hubcaps, but even then, you have to make sure that you're not using too much pressure. Otherwise they could scratch the aluminum rims.

Q: Can you re-glue the covers when the start slipping off? Anyone tried this?

Mine haven’t shipped off but I would imagine hot glue or gorilla glue would do the trick.

Q: Two sets offered... one has brushes with black bristles and one with tan bristles. What's the difference?

The tan bristles on the black brush are made of brass and is used on metal such as for detailing difficult spots on tire rims. The black bristles are made of plastic or vinyl, for mor delicate detailing such as interior.
