Great quality for the price--excellent tool for watch heads to have on hand for watches under 42mm
I really begrudge paying someone to change a watch battery for me, especially since I understand how to do it and I know it's easy with the right tools. Well, this is one of those tools that is the right tool, and unfortunately (or fortunately?) it's necessary for a lot of snap casebacks. Different tools for screw in casebacks, but I digress. . .The other day I went to change the battery in my basic everyday Timex, and had no trouble popping off the caseback and installing the new battery. But I could not get the caseback to snap back in. This is probably a good thing because it means the rubber gasket, which was properly seated, has a tight seal when the caseback is on. But I have small hands and arthritis, so I couldn't push hard enough. I ended up having to set up my table vise and carefully do it that way, which was not a good idea though it worked without damaging the watch. I declared, "No more shall I use the inappropriate tools on my beloved watches!" And I bought this. When it arrived, I was surprised to see that it came very nicely packaged but the press itself disassembled, but the press itself took about 3 minutes to assemble. It's well made of aluminum and the screws that fit into the aluminum parts fit well and are cleanly threaded. The included allen wrench makes it a breeze. I guess I could have noticed when I was looking at it to purchase but didn't, and so was surprised to see it came with a basic pry tool for caseback opening, a watchband tool, and some sheets of tissue paper, which I assume are for further protecting the watch face and case from scratches. The mold disks that come with the press can be screwed on so they stay stable while you are snapping the caseback on with gradual, gentle pressure. I have a lot of cheap watches and so it is just a matter of time before I need to change another battery, but I suspect this will be much easier and safer than using the table vise or a hammer or other bad ideas. If I run into any issues, I will update the review. But overall, this seems like a great press for the price!Note that the description says "This set is only suitable for round dials with diameters between 22mm and 42mm, not for watches with other shapes such as square, oval" so be sure your watches that you may want to change the battery on are round and under 42mm case size. 42mm case size is on the average-small size for men's watches. If you have a lot of watches with larger case sizes, you will need a different press set. Also, if you have not used a press like this before, it's helpful to review any documentation on which size molds to use for the watch case/face and caseback so you are applying pressure appropriately.

It really works
This works great. I had one watch with a very stubborn back that I could NOT get back on no matter how hard I tried. I didn't want to damage the watch so I ordered this. The directions are really well written, so I had no trouble getting my watch mounted and ready to press the back on. I very carefully tightened the press just a little bit, then a tiny bit more, then a tiny bit more, and then POP! The back snapped back on with absolutely no damage to my watch.

Awesome kit for closing pry-open watch back-cases
Total newbie to replacing my own watch batteries here, and I got stuck with 5 watches which I pried open, replaced the batteries and couldn't, for the life of me, close. I tried all the other you-tube ideas and hacks and failed. This tool just arrived today and enabled me to successfully close all 5 watches creating that very-satisfying "pop" when four of the five back-cases closed (the fifth was especially stubborn but did close without a "pop"). I followed the instructions that came with the kit precisely to the T and it worked great - highly recommended. The vise is easy to put together and is surprisingly sturdy. Great value.

Very useful tool for watch battery replacement.
Just what was needed to change battery on watch and put the back cover on. Several sizes of discs for a range of watch diameters and other tools to assist in changing battery. Costs less than paying for battery replacement and can use for years to come. Very happy with this item.

Excellent tool. Well worth the price.
Nice tool. Easy to open and close the cases. Fixed two watches today. Well worth the investment. They provide quite a few spares of the pieces/parts that get damaged like pins and punches while working.

Worth the money for the serious watch hobbyist.
Works as intended. Overall quality is good. Even though most watch back can be snapped in by hand, this tool is for those better quality stainless steel Swiss made ones that are hard to close.

Good quality and very inexpensive
I've done 2 watches and it worked perfectly, read the directions and you wont have a problem. Doing the 2 watches saved me enough money to pay for it. Looks and feels¹ like good quality and is easy to use
