Greatly improved my home theatre enjoyment
This Sony HT-AX7 is an integration of the home theatre and PORTABLE Bluetooth speakers. Rounded rectangular shape, light grey colour design which is very cool and match easily with home decoration too.The package box is also cool design from the brand Sony using recycle materials. The setup is simple. Scan the QR code and Download the APP, starts to BT connection with any device like Apple mobile devices or Android devices. I am using Samsung mobile and iPad to test. Connection is easy and both devices connected, then my mobile is the remote control and ipad is the sound source. This HT-AT7 features with a main central unit and two detachable small round satellite speakers (automatic Bluetooth connected with main unit), gives a spatial Sound technology.Test it with ipad YouTube channel, (Spatial sound OFF) the sound quality is very good especially the vocal part. But, not very convincing with the bass.Spatial sound On, you can feel a bit of surround effect but not real surround. It is already a lot better than the performance of a normal sound bar, but missed a woofer.Overall sound quality, is 4/5. You do not expect anything top HiFi grade but more than enough for normal living room tv, entertainment sound system.Back to the basic,1. Battery, USB c to c charging cable is provided but charger not included. I have used it for 2 hours and almost no battery drop. The internal batteries in all the units are very good indeed. However, I have stand by it for 11 days, the main unit dropped to 60%. I would suggest to switch off the Bluetooth stand by mode to save battery. However, you could not switch on and off the sound system like TV remote control. (No complaints, this is just like home TV stand by, burns some energy)2.App is very simple and basic, maybe it is a ver.1.0. It can be better.Overall, this Sony sound system replaces my sound bar and Bluetooth speakers in my living room. The outlook is modern to sit in my living room too and didn't occupy a lot of space. From time to time, I can bring it out and put it in my car to replace my car sound system. No complaints from kids anymore. I like this Sony HT-AX7 and given the price is very entry as a home theatre sound system. I will give it a 5 star rating.

Sony portable theatre speakers.
I love this superb, compact speaker system! I love it!Okay, so my other half and I, go camping quite a lot. More specifically, we go glamping. We have a cavernous bell tent, compete with a log burner/oven and hob, cow skin rugs, a king sized bed, and all the creature comforts you could possibly wish for. The icing on the cake though, is our 80" projector screen for our evening entertainment! This is paired with a 4K projector, and a small soundbar. Now, however, I can take the cinema experience to the next level with this portable theatre sound system (whilst still respecting the other campers in the area!). Surround sound in our bell tent?! Oh yes!The sound, whilst not earth shattering, is great. The build quality is typically first class from Sony. The size is small enough to make it's regular home on my kitchen counter top so I can listen to music whilst cooking. And I absolutely love the magnetic satellite speakers that simply lift off and can be located anywhere. These are also recharged by the base unit when placed back on top. There are few products that I give the much coveted 5 stars to in my reviews. But this is one that is most definitely deserving of the highest accolade. I cannot recommend this highly enough!I always try to write an honest and unbiased review of all the products I order. My reviews are only my opinion, of course, but I hope they help.

Excellent Bluetooth sound system.
The kit arrived in a very minimalist box - just a cardboard box a bit like an oversized egg box which is absolutely fine by me - I'm all for the least packaging possible. On opening everything is there, again, very minimalist, it has a cool vibe and the neutral coloured cloth on the outer means it can sit unobtrusively in any room just doing its thing. The instructions are also minimal, which again is fine, just get the QR code and link to your chosen device and it works straight out of the box, no cables, minimal set up. Perfect. Charging is via USB C and a full charge gets you about 30 hours of play. Spot on. The cable is supplied but the charger isn't - irritating, but we have a house full of appropriate chargers so no biggie. Our main tv doesn't do Bluetooth - it's not even all that old, but Bluetooth is a no no. That doesn't really bother me, I want this for other purposes. How will this be used in our house?• My husband likes to watch aircraft videos - fighters, bombers, Dreamliners, 747, A300, you name it he watches it via YouTube on either an iPad or second tv, this links perfectly with both of those and he can sit there to his heart's content listening to engine noise (each to their own).• Music playback - either indoors or outdoors at barbecues, this is perfect for that. I had a Bose SoundDock and cables with an iPod for years, now I have this and an iPhone and no cables - time moves on. but my musical tastes are still about the same. The small speakers can detach to be placed around the room so everyone can hear the music (or aircraft) at an appropriate level. I'd have liked a bit more ability to 'tweak' sound quality - you can alter bass but that's about it (maybe I'm missing something, more testing required). Like most things, the better the quality going in the better the quality coming out, so if you have a ropey recording it won't come out as crisp as it could be, but over all I'm happy.I love it, I think the sound quality is excellent and I'm more than happy with the versatility and mobility of this piece of kit. A bit more connectivity would be nice, it's a shame it's only Bluetooth, but that's the way of the world. Yes it's expensive, £499 (as at 8 September 2023) but it's a new product and you pay a premium for newness, I'd expect the price to drop somewhat over the next year or so.
