Are the lids and bands 2 separate pieces

Yes. You can see in one of the pics that they are separate.

Can you use for canning?

Yes, as far as I know! The tops will stick w heat when canning!

Are they freezer safe?

These are straight-walled, and for glass jars to be freezer safe they need to be tapered so they're wider at the top to allow for expansion and to distribute that force upward. Straight-walled jars tend to shatter because the force of expansion pushes outward. I wouldn't recommend these for freezing. You can do a search for "tapered canning jars", but there are many that are mis-labeled as "freezer safe". First, unless the jar is a "wide mouth" jar, the shoulders at the top prevent it from being freezer safe, so you can rule out any regular-mouth jars easily enough. If you have jars already, measure the widest part across the center of the bottom and top to determine in they're tapered. The best way though is to use a cloth seamstress tape and measure the circumference. If they're even a tiny bit wider at the top, the contents will be pushed upward into the headspace where the vacuum pocket will contract to accept the new volume. Otherwise the force will press outward against the sides of the jars until they break.
