Ultralife Reef Products, Red Slime Stain Remover.71 Ounce

I don't normally write reviews but this stuff works and has not affected any sps / lps or my soft corals and fish are all happy. I had a load of red slime algae growing and it was taking up half of the tank (1000L) read the instructions and by day 2 the tank was clear of red algae and corals started to be more happy.This is the only product I would use in the future thanks !!

I was totally against using this product but after 3 months of battling red slime algea I finally gave up and bought it. Having heard many horror stories on the internet about fish tanks being decimated with similar treatments, I followed the instructions to a T and closed my eyes and prayed for my SPS as I poured it into my reef tank. After 2 days the cyano was nearly destroyed and after a bit of rock scrubbing the last remains were gone for good. All my corals and fish are fine and even my coraline and good green algea survived ! Only thing is I do strongly recommend using an air stone or raising your return above surface level to create bubbles as on the third morning my fish were showing signs of laboured breathing from all the oxygen being used to destroy the cyano. This was recommended in the instructions. Top product !

Great product. Have tried others but no effect...after a filter failure I couldnt clear the slime even with daily manual removal, skimmer working overload etc. This had a noticeable effect within 48 hours and cleared the slime completely within 72 hours. The skimmer goes mad though so requires regular emptying (like every 30 minutes after dosing). There was no adverse effect on livestock or corals either.

Did not work tried four times same problem stuff rubbish I would like refundnfor it or replacement that something that will work

Certainly helped with algae problems,didn't clear it all and the algae is back,May try again ?

Efficient and does get rid of the red slime. The only issue it does upset the skimmer.

I have seen this product advertised on "BrsTV" and thought I would give it a try.I must admit it is impressive: I have 300gal mixed reef tank, I mixed the complete container of product into some tank water and then added over a couple of minutes.(Main point to remember is it check your skimmer as it will go nuts)I added the solution at 14:00 on the Saturday and checked the tank at 09:00 Sunday morning, all and I mean all the red slime had gone. I then recalls rated the skimmer back to a normal flow.This product is well worth it, I will be ordering some more to keep in just in case.

After dosinh Nopox at one point i got my No3 and Po4 to 0 i believe this led to a cynobacteria taking route everwhere, a battled for a few weeks but nothing was working. I was reluctant to use it as i have around £6,000 in fish and corals in my 1000l marine tank.I removed carbon, left the skimmer on and place 2 airstones in the tank.48 hours later and its all gone. I mean every little bit, the sand is pure white all rocks look like they have been scrubbed clean.Only issue now is my skimmer is going crazy and is just overflowing, hopefuly it will calm down.Because of this by No3 is up at 40 and po4 at 0.5 im going to tray dosing vinegar and also add some friendly bacteria like Microbacter 7.
