Q: Does this include 6 pieces individual weights?

No, it only includes 2 weights per order. I just loved them so much I ordered them 3 times. Sorry for any confusion.

Q: Is it smooth on the bottom?

I have 6 of these weights which I purchased in 2-packs are differing times. Although the bottom of the each weight has a lacquered finished, 4 of them are very smooth but 2 are very bumpy so I make sure not to use those 2 on any delicate fabrics. If you buy them, there is no way to "guarantee" that the ones you get will be smooth on the bottom.
