Q: Can I lift the bottom of the tv out slightly to switch socket underneath?

No, it's fixed flat to the wall... However, it does hook off very easily as you basically just have 2 hooks that you attach to the back of the TV that you then hook onto the mount that you attach to the wall... It's very easy and straight forward.

Q: What is the size of the wallplate affixed to the wall in mm (WxH)?

Despite the incorrect information in these reviews regarding the wall plate size, I still ordered one because the dimensions were unbelievable. I received my order today, and I'm please to discover that the size of this TV wall mount is of realistic size of 465W x 170Hx 13D.

Hi yes it is a flat bracket. It moves only to right and left if you want to centre the tv against your bed or sofa.

Not sure tobe honest it’s surposed to be universal
