Reliable and cats love it!
I've been feeding our cats the phosphorous focused chicken for about a year now. They know and love the smell and taste, that is for sure. I think there is consistency here in the value for money. There are been very few occasions where my more sensitive cat smells or tastes something off in one of the cans. That was far more frequent with the other brands like Science diet and Purina.

amazing food
This food is lifesaving for my 18 year old kitty, and he loves it too. The extra hydration in these cans is great too. Thank you to the wonderful company making it, from the bottom of my heart.

Stage III kidney Cat Approved!
My cats favorite food! She had stage 3 kidney disease. She dislikes prescription food but loves this kind. This has kept her going for 3+ years after we found out of her condition. She is healthy and doing great! I suggest making the food “soupy” with water so your cat intakes enough water. Just be careful not too make it too watery where they won’t eat. Overall Recommend!!!

Problem with product quality
When I bought the 3.2 oz my cats loved it!! So, I bought 48 cans of the same stuff (Chicken Frick 'A Zee) in the LARGER size (6 oz) but my cats won't touch it!!! Husband says there was a discoloration on the top of the food when he opened the can. The food has gone bad or bad food was canned and shipped. Either way I can't use it. Ordered from Weruva but when I received it it showed it was shipped by 'Only Natural Pet' in Colorado. They said I could ship it back to them at my cost and they would give me a refund for the cost of the food returned but they would not cover the cost of shipping it back. Who knows how much that will cost ME. I see in other reviews that other people have questioned the product quality. I WON'T BUY THIS BRAND ANYMORE BECAUSE OF THIS. I expected to receive an apology from the seller and an offer to send a fresher batch but that DIDN'T happen.

Healthy ingredients and my cat loves it
My 8-year-old cat likes a lot of Weruva foods, but he especially loves this Weruva Wx Phos Focused, Chicken Formula in Gravy. He will eat more of this can at a time than he will most other foods, which is great, because it has a very high moisture content and is good for his kidneys and urinary tract. The "gravy" is more like a broth; it's not sticky or thick like gravy, it's thinner without any thickening ingredients. He loves the flavor so much that I can even add a little extra water to eat and he'll still eat it.The chicken is a pulled consistency. It's like little thin strips. These strips are pretty easy for him to eat, although he does sort of lick them a lot until he gets the chicken closer to the edge of the plate and finally bites the pieces rather than lick them. It can get a little messy when he licks the chicken and it goes off the plate, but he's a messy eater in general, so I don't really think this is the food's fault.I tried the other Wx Phos focused flavors, and he didn't like those as much. I'm sure it depends on your cat's specific tastes. I'll continue to buy this one. I've already fed him almost 24 cans over the course of a month or two, and he continues to love it.This food is great for preventing kidney damage because of its high moisture content (like most canned foods) and its low phosphorus content. High phosphorus diets are associated with kidney damage. This is not a prescription food, but it still contains phosphorus in amounts under AAFCO standards. Consult your veterinarian if you are going to feed this food as a major part of your cat's diet. Otherwise, it is perfectly healthy to feed your cats when fed with other foods, because most cat foods have high amounts of phosphorus.

Oh oh
Was given a couple of cans and my picky cats devoured them. Delighted, I ordered a case. Both, took a couple of sniffs and gave me the side eye and strode off. Lesson, never by a case of anything. Maybe great for others but my two totally rejected it. Donated to humane society.

Thank you Weruva
I've had a very challenging 6 months with my little 12 year old furball. After a number of health problems reared their ugly heads, we've settled down to her having stage 2 CKD. Her lack of appetite was a huge problem for many of those months. Many days I resorted to syringe feeding her to ensure she got calories, and I went through dozens of foods to find something she'd palate - then along came Weruva. I'm incredibly thankful that almost their entire line of food is relatively low in phosphorous, which helped me to find several flavors that my cat actually started to devour. Imagine my surprise when I tried this one - the lowest phos of them all, and she absolutely gobbles it up!While the jury is still out about protein content do's and don'ts, I tend to think that feeding an obligate carnivore the food they should be getting instead of the carbs found in renal foods makes sense. In this case, she happily laps up all of the liquid from this food (along with an ounce or so that I add), and I'm happy to know that it has the egg whites in it for protein and other beneficial supplements in the broth alone. Sometimes she eats all of the shredded chicken and sometimes she doesn't, and that is ok as she's eating enough, getting great hydration, and I'm elated that she's gained nearly a full pound in about a month.I've only got a couple of minor complaints - I'd love for this formula to come in a bigger can. She goes through 4 or 5 a day. Would love a big can like the paw lickin' chicken comes in. And secondly, I'd love it if the chicken shreds were chopped up just a bit more. Sometimes, I will snip the strands with scissors when I serve it, but that is just fussy.
