Where does the dishwasher pod go

I found the pods to be a little too much soap since they are manufactured for a full sized dishwasher. I bought a bottle of cascade liquid, and fill the small detergent cup only half way. Dishes come out clean with no soapy residue.

How long is this suppose to take for the machine to fill up with water?

Takes me about 60 seconds to fill it up directly from the tap, its a little over 5 liters of water

Where is the detergent placed? Can any kind of detergent be used?

Inside the door, right bottom there's a 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" depression labelled Detergent. Since there's no latched cover and not described anywhere, I assume that whatever kind of dw detergent you use; powder, gel-pacs, liquid, tab... as soon as you close the door, ALL DETERGENT WILL JUST FALL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DW! *****COMFEE, is this correct??? *****
