Q: these garlique pills I ordered are not odor free. strong breath why? we have tried before and thought they were odorless

The pill has a buffer coating to make them easy to tolerate on the way down"odorless". If the buffer is digested before the pill enters the small intestines "wow" not odorless. Take the pill before a big meal to help keep it down. Once the pill is digested, you still have the odor that garlic causes to the breath and sweat. It is only odorless on the way in not on the way out. I prefer Kyolic aged garlic.

I also looked in vain for a list of ingredients on the box. I found "Garlic has been used for centuries to support a healthy cardiovascular system. Garlic contains the chemicals alliin and alliinase. These two chemicals combine to produce allicin the active ingredient in garlic which most scientists believe is responsible for providing this important support for cardiovascular health." on Garlique's website. I have used Garlique for over five years, with my doctor's approval. I went from using all the usual hypertension medications with the goal of B/P under 140/90. Today B/P is 117/65 average. I'm 81 and take no medication, not even 81mg aspirin. I can't say Garlique helped, just it didn't hurt.

Here is how to tell the expiration date: Please look for a 6 digit batch code on the product package. The first 2 digits are manufacture year, and the 3rd digit is month. The product has a shelf life of 2 years. So a batch code starting with 181 means that the product was manufactured in Jan. 2018 and will expire in Jan. 2020. Lancaster South

Garlic is antibacterial so like pickles, it has a Very Long date range. Since I can't see all of the writing on the box, I can't give you an exact date, but if it is less than 2 years old it is safe even if it looses it's effectiveness.
