HaywardPoolVac XL Suction Pool Vacuum (Automatic Pool Cleaner)

I had a Hayward pool vacuum for many years and needed replacing, so I decided to stick with the same brand. The new one worked immediately and surprisingly quickly once hooked up to the pool's vacuum system. It moved along the pool bottom at a much faster speed than the old one. It operates independently and, if it runs into a wall and gets stuck, it soon adjusts and continues in a different direction. It provides ample suction for leaves and other debris that fall into the pool.

This is my third unit in 25 years. It works as it should and does a great job in my pool. I just connect it to the vacuum hose and let it go to work. A good value value for the money.

Captures all the dirt in the bottom of the pool. Works great with Pentair pool pump, captures small stuff like leaves and small debris.

I have had 5-6 of this model for the last 20+ years. Works great and does not get plugged up too often.

The vacuum seemed to be working well. I have had it for a little over a year. I went out to my pool 2 weeks ago and it stopped working for no apparent reason. My pool technician looked at it and said this happens. This model is known to stop working for no reason. I reached out to Hayward, and they offered me a warranty department that is across the country. I am quite disappointed. I was taken aback that a replacement was not offered for such a high-priced item that only lasted a short period. I would like to save someone from this purchase, only to be disappointed down the road. I would suggest another brand.
