If you've ever had your ankles destroyed by a new pair of Doc Martens, you need these. I used to love how they looked but dreaded wearing them out. One time I had to walk home barefoot with bleeding heels. It was rough.These gel socks changed everything. I wear a size 6 or 7 in Docs and these fit perfectly. Super stretchy and comfortable. I put them on with a fresh pair and for the first time ever, no blisters, no pain, no limping. Just soft cushiony protection where you need it most.You get two pairs which is great because I keep one in my bag just in case. Honestly for a few bucks this saves you a ton of pain and makes breaking in new boots actually bearable.Pro tip: Wear them for the first few times you go out in new shoes and thank yourself later.

I shopped around for something that would help with my Achillies heel pain and rubbing irritation from my shoes. These work GREAT! The back covers my whole heel so there is no rubbing and pain at all from my shoes. The cushion has also helped reduce my over-all pain and I think has actually been more beneficial in healing than the physical therapy I have been doing. I've worn them for 3 weeks and the first pair is still holding up.

In all fairness, I bought these for hiking as another reviewer said they used these under their socks to keep their heel from slipping. I bought two sizes, large and medium. They just don't work. There are very thin and you can't put your socks on - they roll up and won't stay in place. I bought another brand, Dr. Fred.er.ick, that work for hiking. These are thick, substantial, comfortable, and work. Too late to return these Ballotte Silicone heel protectors.

These definitely provide comfort but getting the socks over them is a struggle. The silicone cushion wants to initially roll up if you put socks on without using a lot of effort to hold the sock open wide enough to scoot past the silicone cushion. If you have thin socks that are more easily stretched it would work much easier, however, thicker, less stretchy socks are harder to wear.It took me a couple hours of walking to get used to these. The shoes I had on were a Doc Marten platform boot and with every step I could feel the squish from the silicone cushion. After a while I didn’t notice it anymore.I do like that the silicone cushion is vented with holes, as it helped the cushion dry nicely after wearing. I simply laid them out on my floor for the night and there was no stink or residue on them.

A local talk show host recommended these to make wearing fashion boots more comfortable. I had boughten a new pair of boots that I wanted to wear for a work event and figured I would give these a try. I am SO glad I did! The boots were 3.5" heels and I don't typically wear heels often anymore. I brought a second pair of more comfortable boots with thinking I would change half way through the evening. With these silicone heel pads I didn't need to. They were extremely comforable all evening. I will note, my feet did sweat a bit with these on and the pads were kind of wet by the end of the evening but nothing I didn't expect. It's really nice that you can wash them and reuse. These pads will definately open up the boot buying possibilities - no longer will comfort be a concern!

Doesn’t stick well to inside fabric of the shoes like cotton canvas. Within 2-3 wears, came off. The material of this item uses fabric that is too slippery. With socks on, my daughter started to complain it was causing her ankle to actually slip out of her shoes. Kids like to run so this material is not ideal for this type of product.

Quality is awesome! Helped with pain relief for wearing my new Doc Martens.

Bad or no information given on sizing of these. Customer reviews and the "size chart" made these seem like they were made for children's feet, so I got a medium, which is pretty loose on my women's size 6.5 US feet. I may try a small or another brand who can say what shoe size their silicone heel pad is for. I don't know why that simple information isn't given. Kind of rude. I got them to protect my feet from blistering while I break in a pair of Doc Marten's but I think when the rubbing starts, the silicone will roll since they're so loose. These are NOT sized for children's feet, despite what the very unhelpful size chart may advertise. I think I will give these mediums to a friend for use on her cracked heels. She has bigger feet than I do, and they seem like they would work for that.
