Can you mount to both sides of the nato rail? Wanting to mount it upside down on a camera to avoid the rod clamp from sticking out.

Not a nato rail attachment but a nato rail with a rod clamp. So, once on your camera, you've added a short nato rail that includes a rod clamp.

Can i mount this directly to the screw holes on the top side of the fx3 ?
