Q: Has anyone done a direct comparison between the rs4 and a furman power conditioner? More interested in the rs4's ability to clean ac and pickup noise

"Pickup Noise" Not your usual use of words. I love that because the number one job of a power conditioner is to pickup noise, and send it to ground. Nothing does that better that a well grounded steel enclosure. The RS-4 does it better than anybody. Its in the details.

Q: What makes this worth $300?

It is incredibly rugged, cuts the heck out of excess interference noise, and eliminates the annoying "pop" from on/off switching. (But can't fix if a device itself is excessively noisy). If that seems to pricey you could consider a rechargeable DC power source like Big Joe, which has similar benefits at a lower price point.

Q: Are the timers per outlet individually adjustable? I.e., outlet two wait 4 seconds, outlet three wait 6?

You can adjust the on and off delay independently from 0-15 seconds in one second increments, by adjusting the two 16 position rotary switches. Each of the four receptacles turn on or off with the same time delay between receptacles. With a (2) seconds on day setting. When push button switch is engaged the first outlet turns on immediately followed two seconds later by receptacle number two, followed two seconds later receptacle three, followed two seconds later by receptacle number four. Stays on until the push button switch is pushed. Once PBS is pushed the off delay sequencer would be engaged with time delay set by off delay rotary switch. Hope this answers your question. Q: How long is the cord to this

Cord is 17 feet long. We switched from 15 to 17 foot cord about two years ago. Some data sheets online are out of date say 15 foot. Hope this answers your question.
