Helped Revive Old IDE Drives
I bought this to recover info from a couple of old IDE drives. It comes with the power plug, the adapter, and a USB cable. At first, I couldn’t get the drive to stay connected to my computer more than a few seconds. I switched to a USB port on the back of my computer, and I have had no more issues with connectivity. I’ve been able to format one of the drives, and am in the process of going through the other one. I would buy this item again.

Excellent product, great price.
This thing is great. The price was right, and it works well. It's great for looking at data on drives or overwriting them before I dispose of them. I teach computer science and cybersecurity at the 100 & 200 level in college as well. This product, for a very low price, gives me the ability to demonstrate to my students how to read, forensically analyze, and destroy a drive out of the computer case on the benchtop.

Didn't Work On the First Use, But I Figured It Out
I had problems at first, and gave a very bad review, but learned the drives had to be re-initiated. I just had to watch the video on the product page.

Resurrected A Dead Laptop's HDD
This did the trick! I was able to attach an old laptop's hard drive to my new laptop and retrieve all of the data. The transfer speed is good as well.
