Q: Could this help connect a focusrite saffire 6 audio interface(usb-b) to a usb-c port on a laptop?

That's actually what I bought it for. I was running out of USB 3.0 slots etc., so I noticed I had a USB C port and got this cable. Works perfectly fine. I've a Focusright 2i/4i by way of reference.

Q: Does this cable use a pull-down resistor to give a power hint to the usb-c device? if so, what resistance?

Q: Will this cable allow me to print directly from my LG G3 smartphone?

I believe that Android only supports printing over wifi or cloud. I am not sure if this has changed.My apologies, you can print via USB by using an app, but I have never tried. I have always done it over wifi. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Q: will this fit in a LG V20 phone?

Yes, your V20 has a USB C connector. Keep in mind, I use it on my macbook pro for printing from my laser printer.
