I'm deciding between this one and the McCulloch MC-1275 steam cleaner. What makes this one worth double the price?

I owned both. The best way to explain it is that the McCulloch feels like a Visio TV. Where as the MR100 feels like a Samsung or LG TV. The McCulloch does the job but doesn't do it as well. The components of the McCulloch feel cheaply made. The built-in storage of the MR100 primo is super nice. The MC has to be purged before every use. There are some other things that bothered me about the McCulloch that the MR100 fixed. Also lifetime warranty.

Yes the steamer works to clean walls. I even cleaned my ceilings with it. It really is a versatile steamer.

Why does it leave a lot of water on my floor

Because the steam cools down and turns back to water. That's true of all steamers even commercial. Just use a hand towel.
