I spray it on wet hair before blowing it dry. Nothing else.

Q: is this a good heat protector when using the flat iron?

It is a reasonably good heat protector with moderate use of heating devices. If hair is long and heat device frequently used, I would choose another hair product.

Q: Does this give hold to curls?

I don’t think this product gives hold for curls, I would rather buy soufflé or curling cream if you want hold for you natural curls.
