My net didn’t come with any assembly instructions. Can anyone help?

Is this appropriate for a 9 year old orange ball player?

I don't know for sure. You may have the same problem that I experienced; an erratic bounce if the ball hit directly on one of the net knots. However, the orange ball is heavier than a pickleball, so it may not behave in the same way. Because the orange ball is significantly heavier than a pickleball, the rebound may not be as erratic.

Will this work for volleyball?

I doubt that it would work for volleyball. It is very light weight.
