Blazing fast
Works perfectly on MacBook Pro M4. No install needed. Lower latency than Wi-Fi!Speed test gets closer to my ISP's advertised speeds than anything else I've tried, including a wired Windows PC.

default driver for windows has issue as of 5/21/2024
USB to Ethernet Adapter should be super simple plug & play, and that seemed to be the case, until I tried browsing the internet. Even though the adapter picked up an IP Address and showed connected, I could only reach other computers on the LAN. Any external addresses just timed out. Finally decided to check for updated drivers and found a link to the Chip manufacturer's site on Anker's support site. The Chip is from ASIX. The default driver version for Windows 10 is 3.20.2. The driver available on the ASIX site is 3.20.1. Downgrading the driver fixed the issue and I am back to full connectivity. I think there may be a difference between Windows 11 and Windows 10 that I ran into. Anyway, not as plug & play as I would have liked, but not too hard to fix.

Anker Does It Again - Adapter Doubled My Download Speed
I just bought a new laptop that I really like. But it did not have an Ethernet port and my Wi-Fi download speeds on a nominal 1GB service were never higher than 300Mb. I read the reviews on this adapter (good and bad ones) and decided to give this a try. I have many other Anker chargers and adapters and I've never had anything but success with all of them. So, I thought this might be the same.Once I took my new laptop off of Wi-Fi and plugged my Internet line directly into this Ethernet adapter, my speed registered at 720Mb on the download - over TWICE what I was getting via Wi-Fi. At less than $20 (if it keeps working like this), it's the best $20 I've spent in a long time.I decided to go with USB-C to Ethernet over USB-A because I may need the remaining USB-A ports I have for USB-A devices that don't use the C hub. I think either would work, but I'm glad I chose this one.I'll update my review if I run into any longevity issues. But as of today, I'd give this adapter10 stars if I could.
