Set the dip switches as described in instructions. It does not work. The system seems to work, but it does not operate like the factory unit. Normally I could here the blend door motors working, but not with this unit. Also, my system has a sensor right above the driver in the headliner that I no longer hear either. It just blows the same temp air all the time and the fan motor runs high when in Auto. Definitely not working the way I expect it should. Good idea, good price, but it does not work.

Got it in a nice packaged box fit as it should seems legit buttons all work good and feel nice has white back light which is nice and clean works as it should no issues the screen is a little odd to me had faint red lines in the background I’ve seen some comments and pics about it mine is not bad at all just a little noticeable as long as it stays that way and works good I’m cool with it for the price beats double the price for a new one but it works fine if anything changes I’ll update the review so far tho I’m happy with it I’m sure a lot of comments are like anything just a bad batch here and there unfortunately I recommend it

Fixed the blower problem.

Bought this unit twice, almost 2 years apart - same issue, bad resistors. About a year - year and a half in, the screen would go dark. would start dying for no reason. Took the last one to an electrical vehicle expert because of a parasitic drain killing my 06 Tahoe every other day. Come to find out its bad components in this product. LOVED Dorman, but guess times have changed. Going to sadly try an off brand and see if that works.

Easy trouble-free installation. The plug and play boot up was quick and without error. The unit worked flawlessly for 3-weeks then quit functioning in the AC mode both manual and auto. One of the left/right arrows on the display went out also. this failure occurred after the vehicle sat in the hot sun for about 2 1/2 hours after having functioned ok earlier in the day during 2 or 3 short trips. I did have my windshield reflector in place. My sense was that perhaps it was a heat related failure on one or some of the electronic components on the circuit board. Amazon was super quick to issue a refund. The ratings were obviously related to when the unit was operating correctly. I did not engage Dorman Tech Support

Works perfectly and it plugged right in

Initially I thought this was a perfect solution.It seemed to work great, but then the parasitic battery drain began.During the warmer weather, the unit actually hardly draws any current (with the ignition off of course). But, on colder days the current draw exceeds 0.30 amps.Unplugging the unit immediately solves the problem.There's a reason for the low price!
