Q: I’m looking for a Bluetooth to listen to Pandora etc from my receiver in my living room to reach out to my pool so I don’t have to get up and go in

The BluDento will do exactly what you need granted your receiver has Bluetooth connectivity. I have it connected in my great room system and the range of the streamer is real good. Once you do it you'll be delighted and finding you enjoy more playing with the streaming. I use the TIDAL streaming service which streams HiFi quality and I found the performance of the stream to be excellent and comparable to hard wiring my pad to the preamp/receiver. Hope this helps.

Q: Does anyone have this working with google home? my current bt receiver keeps disconnecting. not sure if it's google home or my bt receiver

I did not have disconnections with the BluDento BLT-2 unless the signal was weak/interfered with, or the source device made the disconnection (in your case it would be the Google Home device, and in my case this would be a Tracfone or an Android tablet). Perhaps the Google Home device is disconnecting by itself. My phone and tablet devices never disconnect by themselves. 'Assistant' type devices have different programming. Have you asked it why it is disconnecting, or contacted customer service? Try that first.

Q: what if your amp has a dac? do you need the bluetooth dac?

This is primarily a Bluetooth receiver but also does a pretty good job as dac. If you already have an amped dac this only makes sense if you would like to stream your music wirelessly.if you decide you do, you should be able to pair BluDento easily with your amp using rca cables, optical or coaxial audio cable.
