Q: What would yall say is the smell like? Just got this for the first time and it smells...almost like expired milk or expired bananas. Very unpleasant.

You may have received a fake. I got a fake last time (had been buying it for years so I knew what it should smell/feel like) and now I won't buy from Amazon again. It was the unpleasant banana smell. I'm sorry, I don't know how to describe the smell of the legitimate K-pak but you described the fake one accurately. :-(

I'd check the "shampoo" because it sounds like they mixed the two?

Q: Can this conditioner be used as a leave in?

As this is a regular conditioner, I would not use as a leave in. It's heavier and not formulated that way. You won't get the desired results. Joico did have a mousse like leave in before, but honestly, you could use a good, light leave in periodic from a cheaper brand for daily use.
