Aveeno Calm and Restore Nourishing Oat Cleanser - 7.8 fl oz

So. I've been using this product for a bit now. I was having skin barrier problems pretty bad especially after the fall/winter. Super damaged, red, itchy, acne, some dryness and all. I was a mess and super depressed over how me and my skin were looking. I was using a foam facewash since my skin is normally very oil but also very sensitive to many products. I can't use most skincare products because of this. Never had issues with products I normally used for years till I figured out months later it was my skin barrier. Switching to a gel facewash was the best decision I've made and im going to keep on doing it. My skin has started to clear up, its more hydrated looking and not as oily throughout the day too. I also have rosacea and has helped my redness and bit of itchiness I sometimes get as well. I have super sensitive skin as well and had no bad reaction towards this product. I really never thought of using a gel face wash since I thought it would make my skin oilier, but it actually did the opposite at least for me. For me it took around a week for my skin to start looking 10x better and I was super surprised since very soon my BF is coming down to visit for the week. I will definitely keep on using this facewash well after my skin barrier is healed. It also works very well for the body and makes my skin super soft and hydrated!!Things I also did + Tips that are helping me heal my skin barrier:I'm also using the First Aid Beauty Hydrating dewy gel cream as well that has Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides which also helps on healing a damaged skin barrier. I just putting on damp clean skin after im done washing my face. Hyaluronic Acid works best applied to wet clean skin. Also make sure to wash your face with luke warm water and not hot along with being very gentle so no hard water from the shower if your sensitive like me with your skin type. Make sure to keep skincare simple as well to if you're healing your skin barrier only a gentle facewash and moisturizer with ceramides + if you can HA in it as well. Foam face washes don't work well healing the skin barrier since they just dry out the skin and take away all the natural oils your skin needs to heal. I did also for one night did slugging to lock in the moisture on my face using 100% pure petroleum jelly. Its were you wash your face, apply moisturizer then after a bit applying a thin layer of Vaseline to the face to lock in the moisturizer so that your skin starts healing. (I only did this for one night then washed it off the next day. It helped me a lot but its defiantly not for everyone so take caution and do research before trying it on your skin)Note: Make sure to always patch test a product. Not everything is made for everyone's skin mattering on your skin type.

Switched to this facewash while I was exploring sensitive skincare options to help manage a dry, flaky face skin problem. I'm happy with the results!Avoiding hot water in the shower and using a gentle cleanser like this helped a lot. It seemed like using soapy, sudsy cleansers before was too harsh for my sensitive skin, so switching to something that is essentially gel that melts crud away with water (after some lathering) might've helped out a lot to restore my skin's moisture barrier and prevent irritation. I had also switched to a very intense moisturizer (la rouche posay triple moisturizing cream) to help preserve/add to the moisture this facial cleanser helped protect. It's working super nice on me and dry skin isn't a problem anymore, so I'll keep up the routine with this product. Not to mention that it also lasts a long time, I bought my bottle around mid-late February and only now I feel like I'm starting to run out.Good habits and compatability with the products your using is key!As expected of the main ingredients, it has a very very very light oat fragrance. I like it and I have had no weird reactions to it.

I have pretty sensitive combination skin. It took a couple of washes for my skin to adjust, but after the adjustment period, my skin is doing pretty well.

I LOVE this face wash! I have been using it for about 2 years now. It is effective by removing makeup. It is gentle and leaves my face feeling fresh and not dried out! I definitely recommend this if you have sensitive skin. The packaging has always been great! Great value for your money!

I have very sensitive skin and aveeno is such a great brand for all types off skin. I love that this leaves my skin clean, smooth, soft and moisturized. I tend to get redness and red blotches from many products but this face wash was fantastic. No irritation, no redness, and no dryness. Very impressed.

I was so impressed first morning after using this cleanser the night before. I was finally diagnosed with massive rosacea. My face was finally getting better after using prescription gel but I was looking for cleanser. This one is perfect for my skin (fair mature) and I saw result of super clean skin right away. Unfortunately after weeks of using this cleanser I have to downgrade my review from 5 to 3 stars. This products works beautifully on no makeup skin but does not remove makeup at all. After using makeup remover I have to clean my face 2 more time to have my face clean. I use white microfiber especially to dry my face. That's how I see if my face is clean or not. I will still use it but now I know what to do.

Calms skin after just a couple of days. Have really dry skin and over 65 aging. I have had patches of rough skin around mouth and under cheek bones. I am happy with the way it is gentle enough to not irritate skin further but does appear to be softening so far. Only have been using for a couple days so hope it continues to help.
