Q: Does this need to be on the transmitter side of the house to pick up HD channels?

It is not easy to answer this question. Transmisson of a TV signal is in away like wifi that is it depends how far away your are from the source of the signal are there obstructions in the way do you live in a two storey or a bunglaow or a block of flats. Lets say you live in a block of flats and you live at the back of the block and the transmitter is say ten miles away at the front of the block it may not work very well due to obstructing walls and distance, if it was only 2 miles away it might work well.

Q: Does anyone know if this works in Ireland and what channels you get??

I am no expert, but would think you would have no problem. I have 2, & both give a perfect picture on all channels. The only proviso I have, is, both ariels go through to the conservatory ( no brick walls) & give best results magnetted to a metal surface. Good kit.

Q: Is this aerial also suitable for fm radio reception, please?

No, FM frequency is 88-108MHz while digital tv antenna received frequency : VHF-Hi 170-240 MHz,UHF 470-860MHz. You need a DAB anenna for radio reception, we will launch it later in our store.

Q: Can i screw it to my outside wall ??

Not really.. you'd have to screw a metal plate to wall then let the magnet stick it.. but before you buy look for better aerial as this one is rubbish I couldn't pick up any channels with this one not good at all.. Gary
